The part no one talks about. You’re the one bracing at every corner. Cutting walks short. Feeling judged when your dog barks or freezes. Tired of advice like “just be more confident” when your dog’s already over threshold.

Here’s the truth: it’s rarely just the dog. Dogs follow what we do — and what we don’t do. Tiny changes in timing, lead handling, and how we read body language make the biggest difference.

That’s what we work on. Together.

A group that won’t judge you. No “perfect” dogs here. No glares when your dog has a moment. Just 4-6 other owners who get it, walking with dogs at similar levels.

You’ll learn:

1. How to spot the signs before your dog reacts
2. Simple changes to your lead, position, and timing that dogs actually respond to
3. What to do when things go sideways — without panic

The dogs work too, but the focus is on you. Because when you change, they follow.

How it works

Step 1: To register your interest in joining a group walk, please email peace@mindfulmutts.co.uk. We will get some details about your dog and their behaviour. If we feel a group situation is the right fit for you at this time, we endeavor to match you to a suitable group. When there are enough dogs for a group we arrange the dates for the walks.

Step 2: 6-Week Block of walks with the same small group. You’ll get real-time instruction and feedback. Plus you'll get a journal to fill in after each walk so you don’t forget what worked.

Step 3: When you finish the block of walks you can drop in for top-ups when life gets hectic. Or just keep going.

Simple, upfront pricing

Initial Block: £210. Assessment and six walks with coaching included.

Just want to try it? £45 If for some reason we thought a group wasn't right for your dog just now, or you are just not sure, we offer an individual walk and assessment of your dog's behaviour. If you join a group as a result of this, the cost is included in the overall price.

Graduated or just want to stay in touch? top-up walks when you need a refresher £30. Max 2 a month.

We cap groups at 6 dogs so everyone actually gets support. This is training, not just a social. Interactions between dogs are monitored and are not the objective.
